Personalised Handmade Sketchbook or Journal with Lakeland Countryside Scene

One of the new books I’ve started making using photos I’ve taken from favourite places. This was a shot across the fields above the village of Askham in The Lake District. I print the images onto buckram and am delighted these have turned out beautifully. For a truly personalised touch, your name, or a title, can be incorporated onto the cover.

The endpapers echo the papers used on the spine and the waxed thread compliments these.

• Each book is prepared, cut, folded, glued and sewn by hand.

• • Sketchbook – 170 gsm acid free paper, suitable for most art, design or illustration purposes – will even take a light watercolour or ink wash with minimal buckling – 96 pages

• A Coptic binding, therefore has an exposed spine so the book will lie completely flat when open.
• The stitches on the spine are a particularly attractive feature incorporating ribbons or silks into the stitching.
• The Countryside Scene is taken from one of my photographs of taken in The Lake District and is printed onto bookbinding fabric.
• Your name or message can be integrated in to the cover design, making it uniquely yours.
